Summit Greens is an active adult community in Clermont, Florida. Conveniently located off Highway 50 and Hancock Road, Summit Greens residents are just minutes from shopping and major highways, yet surrounded by the beautiful and unique rolling hills of the Central Florida Highlands.

For a small gated community of just 769 homes, the 28,000-square-foot clubhouse that is the hub of activity at Summit Greens is nothing small. The large, modern fitness center, aerobics studio, and heated indoor pool are some of the best amenities in the area. The Summit Greens Clubhouse also has game and card rooms, as well as a computer room and billiards rooms. There is also a library where you can rest and relax with a favorite book.
The outdoor amenities include eight lighted tennis courts, a baseball field, a heated outdoor pool and spa, and the 18-hole Sanctuary Ridge golf course. Residents can also enjoy casual dining at the nearby restaurant, The Grille.
Summit Greens homes and real estate
Construction of the Summit Greens began in 2001 and was completed in 2006. The church was built by Levitt & Sons. All apartments are single-family homes offered for resale in various models with well thought-out floor plans. Options vary from house to house, but granite countertops, tile floors, and hardwood floors are common in many Summit Greens homes. Some homes also have three-car garages.
Home prices in Summit Greens reflect those of other comparable communities in the area, and sizes range from 1,250 to 2,500 square feet. Some houses overlook scenic lakes or the golf course and all have tasteful gardens maintained by the community. Reasonable membership fees at Summit Greens also include the gatekeeper, full-time activity leader, and maintenance of the community grounds and all facilities.
Summit Green's lifestyle
Summit Greens offers not only an active, but also a youthful lifestyle. When Levitt & Sons started this community, it was open to people under the age of 55. Many residents over 50 are therefore still employed. This makes Summit Greens perfect for prospective residents over 55, young at heart, retired or not. It's also very easy to meet people at Summit Greens by volunteering to work with a club or group.
Some of these clubs and groups include Card Clubs, Mah Jongg, Poker, Billiards, Softball, Opera Club, Book Club, Train Enthusiasts, Tennis Club, Dance Club, Artists Club, Jewish Club and Italian Club. Social activities, dinners and shows are also scheduled monthly and take place in the ballroom.

Summit Greens is across from a local university and regional library. New shopping malls, restaurants and a new movie theater are just blocks from Summit Greens. In downtown Clermont is Lake Minneola, where triathlons are held. In addition, it offers boating, fishing and camping opportunities. The Clermont/Lake Minneola area also offers an easy-to-follow equestrian trail that winds past the Clermont Public Beach and offers spectacular scenery.
Just a 20-minute drive away, residents of Summit Greens can shop at Orlando's Millenia Mall. Orlando International Airport is also easily accessible. Of course, for added excitement, Orlando offers all the major attractions it is known for, including Disney World, Gatorland, Wonderworks and Universal Studios Florida. Like any other community, you will find what you are looking for. And that goes for the cabal and politics. If you are looking for good friends and neighbors, well-appointed community facilities, well-managed and maintained properties, social activities, learning and educational opportunities, interacting with good people, volunteering, etc., you might find it too.

There is something for everyone! Friendly neighbors! Great facilities. Conveniently located in a Florida resort style setting in the hills. community with a variety of plants and options; which many homeowners have chosen to customize to their needs. Most houses have a view: lake, golf course or garden! A community feel with lots of activities if you want to participate. We chose this little gem after looking for a year and a half and we loved it! I say this is worth checking out!

If you are looking for a highly desirable retirement community close to shopping, restaurants and lakes, Summit Greens should be number one on your list of retirement communities to consider. In addition to being 20 minutes from Orlando, Summit Greens has everything one could want in a 55+ community including a state of the art clubhouse, large resort style pool, new gym, large library, a computer lounge, billiard room, tennis courts, animation room and its location in a valley that gives it a very picturesque look. The management company on site takes very good care of the facility.

Summit Greens is a dream! We moved in last year and everything was wonderful. The clubhouse is beautifully designed. Each room is designed with unique furniture and decorations. I wish I had the same decor style for my own home! It's a pleasure to spend so much time in the clubhouse and it was great to meet so many lovely people. House prices here are very reasonable considering how luxurious the club is. I have recommended Summit Greens to all my friends and can honestly say that moving here was one of the best decisions. Try it... you will love it!
